Heritage

Today's Family Home Evening (FHE) lesson was about heritage. We have such a rich heritage from both families and this wonderful country we live in. As we talked about heritage today we discussed different events and then asked the girls to give us a favorite memory they have of their grandparents. The answers were cooking pizzas and cookies with Grandma Moore; riding in Grandpa Moore's cars; and of course seeing Mickey Mouse with them; making magnets and crafts with Mimi Buckley; riding on the lawn mower and boat with Grandpa Buckley--which were both recent things we did with them over the 4th of July in Rupert.

Right: The girls found a kill-deer nest and decided to make nests with the rocks and grass.  Ellie loves playing with my brothers' high school friends' girls--boy that was a mouth full, but each of his good friends have two little girls that are Ellie and Lila's age and they always enjoy playing together at Mimi and Grandpa's. However, if you notice Lila is behind them in the window because she had a little stomach bug that day. :(

We were also able to see extended family over the trip and truly be amazed at how quickly posterity can extend. I am grateful for our families who love and support us. We have been taught by their word and example. It is wonderful to have opportunities for our children to associate with them. Also a big thanks to those men/women and their families who serve this country and defend freedom around the world!
